Ooka Island, Inc., will be premiering its new Ooka Island Adventure™ literacy program at the National Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Conference & Expo November 2-5 in Orlando at Booth 109.
Ooka Island Adventure™ is a marriage of reading science and gaming theory that aligns its gaming levels with the Common Core Standards of Reading Education. A trailer can be viewed by clicking here. Progress through the game’s 24 levels is dependent upon acquiring the skills needed to learn to read. Parents or teachers monitoring children’s progress receive a detailed assessment of each child’s progression through the island’s various levels.
