Virtual High School Global Consortium today announced three new courses to its online summer school program: Government, Personal Finance and Algebra II.

The VHS 2012 online summer school program enables students to take a course from any location with a computer and an Internet connection.

Classes offered this year include the following:

Boston — March 27, 2017 — The Virtual High School (VHS, Inc.), a non-profit empowering schools with the industry’s best online and blended learning programs, is offering three new summer courses. Registration for the new courses, one featuring hands-on chemistry experiments, one exploring classical methods of secret code writing and the third centered around designing a home solar power system, is currently open. Summer School courses are offered for credit recovery and enrichment in two four-week sessions starting in July and August, and one eight-week session in July.

The Virtual High School Helps Schools Enhance Credit Recovery Efforts

March 10th Webinar to Delve into Topic of Using Online Learning as Alternative Method of Supporting At-Risk Students   Boston — March 2, 2016 — Online courses have long been used for credit recovery; in the 2009-10 school year, more than 60 percent of digital courses were taken for credit recovery purposes, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. The Virtual High School (VHS Inc.), a non-profit organization empowering schools with the industry’s best online learning programs, has enhanced online credit recovery by offering students at risk of falling behind or failing a course three types of Credit Recovery programs: flexible courses, summer school options and customized courses.
