Knovation to participate in Connected Educator Month

Knovation announced today that it is participating in Connected Educator Month (CEM)–an all-online opportunity for collaboration and professional development among the education community. As part of this month-long event, Knovation and its online community for educators, Know New Ideas, are offering activities including blog discussions, webinars, discussion forums, content exhibits and an educator contest.

Throughout the month of August, CEM will offer coordinated opportunities to participate in events and activities in dozens of online locations to develop skills and enhance one’s personal learning network.

Knovation’s schedule of events will include discussions, webinars and content on a range of topics, including “Personal Branding for Teachers,” “Game-based Learning,” “Change and Innovation in Schools,” “Trends in Education Technology,” “Addressing the Needs of the ELL Population” and more. For more details, visit www.knownewideas.com/page/cem2012.

As part of CEM, Knovation is also presenting the 2012 Contest, “Putting Passion into Practice,” which provides teachers with an opportunity to submit their personal stories illustrating how they put their passion into practice in their classrooms. Stories can be submitted online in the form of a video, a comment or narrative, a picture or a poem. All submissions will receive an entry to win a Kindle Fire. In addition, every entry will receive an “I Make Learning Personal” t-shirt. The contest page will be open for submissions from Monday, July 30th through Friday, August 31st.
