The Kids In Need Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing free school supplies to economically disadvantaged school children and under-funded teachers, announces that August 8, 2013, will be its national day of giving. Kids In Need will host the event online and will use the hashtag #KINFDayOfGiving on social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram to promote the day of giving. The goal of the event is to raise $50,000, which will be used to provide school supplies to students most in need.
From 12 AM EST through 11:59 PM EST on August 8, donations can be made three ways:
- Online at give.kinf.org
- On Facebook at facebook.com/kidsinneed
- By texting the word SCHOOL to 85944 for an automatic $10 donation added to the donor’s phone bill
