Today's Newsletter: E-Rate a Hot Topic at EdNET13
Much of the confab at this year’s #EdNET13 surrounded two topics: the potential overhaul of E-Rate, and the maturity of blended learning concepts. Likewise, the blogosphere is rife today with insights on these same subjects. Eric Newton on Media Shift: “Since digital media literacy is truly learned only through hands-on Internet experience, E-rate becomes the difference between a society that can function in the digital world and one that can’t.” Digital Learning Now! (DLN), a national initiative under the Foundation for Excellence in Education (ExcelinEd) yesterday released “Blended Learning Implementation Guide Version 2.0.” The Guide walks school leaders through a four-part process for blended learning implementation that begins with creating conditions for success and planning before moving into implementation and continuous improvement. ~Kevin Hogan
