It has been fun to watch the trickle-down coverage of the President’s ConnectED address last week. Local media outlets from Alaska to Illinois to Florida have profiled the honored superintendents from their areas. Each is a terrific story of inspiration—from getting rural students Internet access to rising literacy scores to overall community improvements. I expect these stories can be inspiration for the surprisingly large number of districts that are still woefully short when it comes to providing adequate technology for their schools.
