A Day in the Life of Africa
As would be expected of a major camera maker, this site offers some incredible photos, viewable as a slide show with pleasant soundtrack. Unfortunately, except for picture title and photographer credit, there are NO explanations or interpretations. For example, who are those 50 women marching ten abreast and holding aloft brooms and other implements? What were they doing? Are they happy or angry? The site offers no definitive answers, although creative teachers might ask their students just such questions to motivate writing, thinking, discussion.
