An American Christmas: Decade by Decade
For many people, the Christmas season is an annual highlight. But was Christmas always celebrated exactly as it is today? From the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Msueum comes this informative online exhibit tracing the history and the origins of Christmas traditions for every decade from 1840-2000. This would be a great jumping-off place for many discussions: how we have changed as a society, how Christmas is celebrated in various lands, etc.
