This animated book does a great job of covering all the important information about George Washington from his childhood, his military service during the French and Indian War, his leadership during the American Revolution, and his role as our first president. The illustrations are interesting and the sound effects complement the pictures. The text is printed at the bottom of each page, and is repeated at least twice so you don’t have to be a speed reader. Honor George Washington on Monday, but wish him Happy Birthday on February 22.
