Brief Description of the Site:
Lomita Math/Science Magnet is a K-5, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) school located in the South Bay area of Southern California. Since Lomita is a school of choice, parents must apply to LAUSD for their children to be admitted to the school. In addition to being a resource for current students and teachers, the site is an information source for parents who are considering making an application to Lomita, providing up-to-date information about the school and school events.
How to use the site:
Lomita parents, students, and teachers all use the site as a resource. In addition to the monthly newsletter, which is posted on site, parents have access items including the school calendar, the school's test scores, and activity-related photos. Students use the links provided on the site to assist in academic research, such as for science fair projects. Targeted teacher links enable quick access to LAUSD information, lesson plan samples, credentialing information, and more.
