myON Partners with Super Bowl 50 to Donate More Than 5,000 Digital Books

To kick off Super Bowl 50 in the San Francisco Bay Area, myON teamed up with the 50 Fund and Tuck’s R.U.S.H for Literacy for a three-day weekend event to bring attention to early literacy and donate more than 5,000 digital books to 500 families.

Through a free, shared account, myON provided unlimited access to digital books for independent reading to children and families in San Francisco, Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Solano, Sonoma, Napa, Santa Cruz, Sacramento, and Monterey. In honor of the January 31 Family Literacy Celebration and Super Bowl 50 a week later, this shared account was activated on January 31 and will remain available through August 31. This is available to all children who are not already using their own school-assigned accounts to read with myON.

myON also announced its new partnership with Justin and Lauran Tuck and Tuck’s R.U.S.H. for Literacy to support and fund myON’s newest effort: providing subscriptions for 100 elementary schools in the Greater Bay Area. Individual student, educator, and administrator accounts to the myON personalized literacy environment will be set up for participating schools from February 1 through August 31, 2016.
