Do your students struggle to understand fractions? On this site students explore the basic concept of a fraction. They can start by looking at two fractions. Their goal is to identify a common denominator between the two fractions. This is a great visual way of seeing how in order to add fractions they have to get the denominators the same. The site allows you to adjust the sizes of the fractions to explore different types of problems. It also provides guiding clues to help the students understand the concept without simply giving them an answer.
