One conversation that kept popping up during our latest Tech&Learning Live event in Boston last week was the role of parents in teaching students proper behaviors when it comes to the use of devices and access to the Internet. District showings of Screenagers seems to be a consensus first step in engaging families in understanding the importance of digital citizenship. Other tactics included more detailed acceptable use policies, back-to-school training nights, and the good old-fashioned phone ban.
