Typing Adventure, Inc., a website for learning and practicing keyboard skills, was founded in 2003 by a Seattle-area technology teacher with a passion for online learning and a knack for gaming design. His students, who were quickly losing interest with their class typing tutor, needed a creative, fun approach to typing. Thus, Typing Adventure was born.

The site was upgraded recently and now offers these features:

  • Improved typing tutor - One place for all lessons, tests, and practices
  • Custom lessons - Design your own lessons, practices, or tests that students can type
  • Assign RSS feeds - Connect your students with current events or study topics and give them something new to type every day
  • Messaging feature - Send your students messages and give them instructions
  • Personalize it - Students can customize the look and feel of their tutor with fun skin choices.
  • New graph feature - Track student progress with easy to read graphs
  • More teacher control – New feature allows teachers to block Tiki Bob's Game Room from students who need to focus on typing a bit more
