Teachers using scientific calculators have a new way to demonstrate concepts to their math and science classes. Today, Texas Instruments launches its first scientific calculator emulator, the TI-SmartView™ for TI-30XS and TI-34 MultiView™ scientific calculators.

TI-SmartView emulator software, which works with white boards and overhead projectors to project an interactive representation of the TI-30XS calculator and TI-34 MultiView calculator, gives teachers the capability to enhance their math and science instruction by illustrating important math concepts to the entire class at one time.

The software includes unique instructional capabilities, such as showing key presses on an interactive white board, screen captures and providing an enlarged image for the visually impaired. The key press history feature enables teachers to project key images and entire sequences to the class so students can follow steps and stay on track with the lesson.

Teachers also can use the emulator to demonstrate the capabilities of either the TI-30XS or the TI-34 MultiView scientific calculators.
